Why I love Wikipedia
The reDesign challenge
Today, it is easy to design a beautiful website, but a layout that can adapt to millions of existing pages, with specific content that we cannot change, plus a user experience already known to 100% of the respectable internet users. It's like changing the first page of Google, the entire world is potentially concerned.
Wikipedia can decrease my productivity in a crazy way… A database, with unlimited knowledge about everything! This is a dream of SciFi; I often think of previous generations who would dream of having a tool like it, with updations in real time, unlike any library or book.
Despite I love the Wikipedia philosophy, I'm not a big fan of its design: endless long line of text, hard to read when you have a large screen with hypetext links and references everywhere, small photos, etc.

Other observation: usually when you find a Wikipedia page, it’s because you search it or you follow a link. How, by chance, can I find a passionate page if I don’t think of searching before…
